New SSD from OCZ

This one can do 120 MB/sec read and 100 MB/sec write, has a two million hour MTBF, and comes in 32 and 64 gig capacities. It's a SATA II drive with a 2.5" form factor.

And I thought flash drives were slow and didn't last long!

Well, Newegg has an old, slow version. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, and I assume the new ones will be more expensive.

A dutch site says the 64GB one will be around 1000 dollar.
Pretty much if you ask me. I guesstimate the 32GB one will be around 650 dollar. If you have the money it's perfect for a system disk.. Data on a large WD GP...

These are marketing specs. I'd be surprised if the drive performs anything like that on a normal mixed-mode load.

Apparently it's a Samsung drive (1:1) in a fancy case.

Now let's just wait for the price to come down 2/3rds and see some real reviews and not HdTach numbers :)

I was about to say the exact same! Here it goes anyway. The OCZ is nothing but a rebadged Samsung equivalent. And the cost is ridiculous so far. :)
