Seagate 7200.12: how good is it?

I have read reviews of this drive and while it didn't was the faster it seems to be reasonable enough silent. Its max size is 1TB.
What do you think of this hard drive?

I do like how my 500GB version is so thin. Like ultra thin.

I have a 7200.12 1TB drive. It's fairly fast and pretty average (modern hard drive-wise) when it comes to sound. Has a kind of, 'windy' sound to it which is noticeable when suspended, and hard mounted it gives off a low hum and loud clicking.

all Seagate drives don't have the AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management), you can't send it on "silent mode" so yes you're going to hear the loud seek noise on it. One thing i found is Seagate drives tend to vibrates a bit less than Western Digital (compared a Seagate 7200.11 500gb with a Western Digital WD6400AAKS)
