Silent 775 Heatsink/fan that fits in an Antec Fusion case
I'm after a heatsink and fan that will fit in an Antec Fusion case. The stock intel (core duo 6300) is way to load in the front room when running on full speed.
Im not really looking to overclock the cpu so its really silence that i'm after. Anyone found a good one for this?

depending on your motherboard, the zalman 7700 will fit without modifications. it's also on sale at newegg. i'm using it on an e6600 inside an nsk2400 and it cools pretty well. depending how anal about noise you are, you might want to swap the fan, but as an htpc the stock fan on the lowest voltage will probably be fine.
don't be intimidated by the fan mod -- it's rather easy, though your first one will be time consuming.
one note: my motherboard, the dg965ot, puts the cpu pretty close to the side of the board. in order to get the 7700 to fit, i had to clip the ends off of about 16 or so fins. when you clip the fins off, they tend to go flying -- because of the tension in the way the flower was designed, i guess. anyway, just be aware of that fact if you go in the direction of the 7700....
also, as a side note, i found that by orienting the fans to blow into the case instead of out, i got much better cooling of the cpu and the mobo's NB and SB. unfortunately, i can't tell if the HDD cooling suffered because my HDDs are configured in a raid which defeats the ability to monitor their temperature, at least as far as i know.
