This is part of the typical intro that I have used on the results threads from other giveaways
The data we would like is:
"Before" test data prior to dismantling your system. Make sure all heatsinks and CPUs are clean, free from dust, securely mounted, etc. We would like good data.
1. Ambient temps to be taken at idle and load.
2. Idle and load temps obviously. Use a program like LINPACK, Prime95 or OCCT and set to max stress the CPU and allow to run for 2 hours. Use Core Temp or Real Temp as these seem to give the most accurate readings. Real Temp also shows the max temp each core reaches during the load test. If you use another program just note down which one.
3. Note initial comparison paste and any exceptional conditions as well as heat sink type.
4. PWM disabled so fan speed is constant for both tests.
5. Note your system specs and settings.
Remount with IC Diamond 7 Carat Thermal Compound and repeat as above.
Submit results for any TIMs you use as a comparison also so we can compare results.
Feel free to make any observations, comments or suggestions. We are trying to refine our message, application and problem troubleshooting so the information you supply to us is valuable to us and much appreciated.

I cannot disable pwm. My mobo does more than throttle, and even has a proprietary software manager for overclocking, and volts bounce with pwm, this is the part I cannot tinker with by disabling...failure imminenet, and nothing to do with cpu thermal paste, I cannot disable.
I can give a roundabout answer now that it is cured, I let it run for 24 idle. prime 95 is cooler than vid encoding, and furthermore these stress tests localize, it has had my negative opinion since a 233
I do have results of my own.The benefit is there with the paste like texture being a winner in any thermal paste, but I am noticing the full load test does indeed have a stronger consistent dissipation with diamond, and am going to buy a tube for future use. Also, hopefully not a bizarre note, I have a custom aluminum duct that does not like arctic silver ceramique nor the thermalright paste that comes with the xp 90. the diamond paste is also a winner in that regard, my cpu seems to stay where it is with the invisibles, I could only assume I could have gotten away with an unpainted duct with diamond paste. The 20-25 degrees at full load will slowly narrow a difference from the old compund to the diamond stuff, but is consistently better.
Also, I am reverse cooled, cure times and thousands of hours and what it does is a different result entirely. Even thermalright stayed thermalright paste after many hours. Reverse cooling is a different realm...on alot of components. That is why I choose it.

I agree to test ICD7.
Should be interesting on my crunchers.
Edit: tube received, installed on my little duo. weather has chilled since I took before measurements, so waiting till it warms up a tad more to get a closer comparison.

Alright sorry it took so long for results I received this midweek but have been too busy with work to start testing until now. I did two hours of testing with my computer and then the next day remounted using ICD7, ~2 hours of burn in, and then two hours of testing. Both testing was done at night with roughly the same ambient temperature and the same configuration (Nothing on the case, window open, monitors off).
The test setup is as follows:
Thermaltake Lanbox Lite
Thermaltake Blue Orb II
AMD Athlon X2 4800+
Asus M2N-mx
EVGA 7900GS
Seagate 160GB Sata
Maxtor 320GB IDE
I tried to keep the cable management as consistent as possible to ensure a fair testing environment. The before test was run with Arctic Ceramique and the after is ICD7 applied per their application directions.
Results:
Core 1 Before
Core 1 After
Core 2 Before
Core 2 After
Note the change in scale that's happened on the graph, looks like about 1-2C drop in comparison to the Ceramique, looking good.
More importantly, core temps have dropped way down. Core 1 now runs around 33-34C and Core 2 around 36-37C; this is a big difference from before when Core 1 was 39-40C and Core 2 42-43C at idle.
In the end I have to say this is a great product and at only a few dollars more expensive than the Ceramique there is no reason not to purchase ICD7.
EDIT: I just realized that I might have enabled AMD Cool N Quiet while attempting to silence my computer earlier today, I'll check it out before I go to sleep and if it's on I'll turn it off to recreate the same environment and retest.

ok, here are my results. It's been a day or two since initial installation and I've run a 3-4 hours of OCCT. In a nutshell, my loads temps have dropped about 3C. Not bad just for swapping out the TIM.
Ambient temps approx 70F/21C
Specs:
- E6300 Pentium Dual Core 2.8Ghz (new 45nm Wolfdale, not old 65nm Core2)
- Overclocked to 3.8Ghz on stock voltage of ~1.3V
- Thermalright XP-120 with Panaflo 120mm L1A 12v
- Previous TIM = Arctic Silver 5
- OCCT 1 hour test, approx max temps noted
Result:
- AS5 Load 60C
- ICD7 Load 57C
- Idle temps for both approx 31C
Ambient temps approx 70F/21C

The IC Diamond seems to be about as good as Arctic Silver 5. The temperature dropped by 1 degree

While the temps of the four cores remain similar, the CPU labeled sensor has dropped about 2C idle and about 4C under load. I didn't record this temperature though, so this is an estimation.

First, I want to thank Innovation Cooling for supplying the IC Diamond.
COMPUTER SPECS
CPU: Intel i7 920 @4.01
Cooler: Xigmatek Dark Knight (lapped, fan 100%)
Memory: 6GB OZC XTC Platinum (1600mHz)
TIM comparator: T-C Grease 0098
Ambient temps: 20-21c
TESTING: I am reporting the max temperature over all 4 cores after 25 runs of LinX (about 1hr 35 minutes) using maximum memory.
APPLICATION: I followed Dicko's suggestions from another IC giveaway thread for applying the IC Diamond to my Dark Knight. I filled the gaps between the heat pipes with IC Diamond, then placed two lines down each divider between the heat pipes. This is the same way I had originally applied the 0098 grease as well.
RESULTS:
T-C 0098

Idle: 38c
Load: 72c
IC Diamond

Idle: 38c
Load: 72c
CONCLUSIONS: No change in temperature.
NOTES: I repeated the IC Diamond application again and got the same results. The CPU coverage was actually quite good on the first application. For the first application the other three core temperatures were actually one degree less with IC Diamond than 0098, but Core 0 had the same temperature (which happened to be the maximum over all cores) as the 0098. The second run yielded essentially the same temperatures for all cores.
UPDATES: This space will be used for updates. I am currently running another LinX run to see if things change with the existing application. I am also considering running another application test. The one hard thing is to get the HDT gaps filled in properly (since IC Diamond can be hard to spread). I may try filling the gaps with another TIM (AS5, Ceramique, etc) that is easier to spread, and then apply TC Diamond. This would hopefully take care of any air bubbles in the gaps (I figure another TIM is better than having air bubbles).
