Someone on a forum post elsewhere warned someone away from the 3000+M chip as it had some higher heat rating of 70 watts or something..
I'm thinking of buying a mobile chip for my board.. currently overclocking a 2100+ with watercooling.. the cpu is chilled at 32 degrees but i think my memory is letting me down (another problem as i have 512meg of PC2100 CAS2.5 in there.. i plan to upgrade to a gig and dont know whether to match the same sim or try a faster PC2700 CAS2.5 simm simultaneously, i can then remove the slower one and dabble with PC2700 only to see if i can get faster overclocks without the slower memory.. but are mismatched speed/CAS simms a bad idea??)
Anyways overclockers sells them

but its not clear what versions they are.. i've mailed to ask but i don't even know if they'll know.. I'm probably heading for the 2600+ version so that i can expect at LEAST 2600 but hope for much more
Anyone know anywhere thats selling these versions.. are ALL 2600s going to be these 45 watt chips? if not what wattage are they going to be, and should i worry THAT much with my 3x120mm fans on my radiator barely being phased by any heat loads at the moment?
Thanks for your time

I don't know for sure but I think the XP-M 2600+ is 47W, however, there's also a 72W version.jimbobUK wrote: are ALL 2600s going to be these 45 watt chips?

Most likely yes but to be safe what you need to look for is the model number.jimbobUK wrote: are ALL 2600s going to be these 45 watt chips? if not what wattage are they going to be.................
here are the most common model numbers:
AXMD2000FJQ4C-2400FJQ4C ( 1.35v, 35 watt)
AXMH2400FQQ4C-2600FQQ4C ( 1.45v, 45 watt)
AXMA3000FKT4C ( 1.65v, 72 watt)
heres an old table that shows there was a 2600 72waTT but i dont think its sold anymore in fact last I heard amd quit producing all XP's I assume mobile as well.
