Has anyone tried a Zalman CNPS6000ALCu ..
.. with a 120mm 'Real Silent' Nexus on a Barton overclocked?
CNPS6000ALCu with 120mm fan ?

Short answer: Yes. It sucked.
Longer answer: this heatsink setup simply cannot cope with high heat levels, unless maybe when you point a really high airflow fan at it. Also, since the fan will usually be more or less parallel to the motherboard it is automatically very close to the case edge, which leads to turbulence noise on the intake side of the fan plus a distorted airflow path through your PC.
With a 2800+ Barton (stock 166 MHz FSB) I could hardly reach 200 MHz without overheating (reaching 70C core temperature and climbing). After switching to a 7000B + Nexus I could reach 220 easily. It dropped temps 10C or more under the same conditions.
