Exotic Heatsink?

Post by PopCorn » Thu Dec 20, 2007 6:26 pm

Im doing a build for a friend and hes into that whole "gamer" look and he wants an "exotic" looking heat sink, nothing like a regular heatsink in the shape of flames but something "different"

Thanks

The new gigabyte heatsink is pretty crazy looking. Just about any of the new heatsinks look really cool... even the scythe ninja.

SPCR recently reviewed the Asus Triton 75; I don't know if it would qualify as exotic, but it has a different look and acceptable if not outstanding performance.

Thermalright IFX-14 At least it's a massive and has massive performace. Maybe a Coolermaster GeminII is a good choise too with two good looking fans... TT maxorb, TT V1 Coolermaster mars... Just for few ;)

eh i might go with the IFX-14, iv been looking at them for my self to
although i cant find any site that did a review comparing the heatsink without
the backside cooler and then with it to see if it even makes a difference

To me any high-end HSF is unique: :D

XP-120 - You see a 120mm fan towering above the mainboard
Ninja - You see a sheet of metal with some heatpipes instead of the 120mm fan
Zalman flowers (attracts butterflies?) and Thermaltake Orbs - you see a fan surrounded by fins, pretty interesting sight. Can get the Fatality version for the professional gamer look too. 8)
IFX-14 - If you think one tower was good, this will scare all the rest with "only" 1 tower coolers.

And many many more. Because almost all of the better heatsinks have unique designs.

Just don't get Mars or Eclipse, looks lame. To me Aero7 was kinda lame too. :?
Performance lame too lol.

CM Sphere would be something different but that's so not Overclockers cooler.
