antec tricool 125x25mm
It's not the thick version. It comes with one on an Antec SLK3800-B, and I was wondering with the speed on low, is it quiet enough that it is not worth it to swap it out for a yate loon? I need an answer since I don't want to order again and again and wondering if I'm gonna order 2 or 3, depending on if the tricool is quiet enough. Thank you.

I can't speak for the 120mm version, but I've sampled many 80 and 92mm sleeve-bearing Tri-Cool fans. While motor noise is very low, there was some high-pitched whistling... probably bearing noise. Except for some Mad Dog fans I purchased for testing, none of my Yate Loon samples have exhibited much of any bearing noise (or motor noise for that matter).
My advise? If you're going to order fans anyway, get the Yate Loons... they are consistently quiet IMHO. I've been evaluating heaps of fans over the past few months, and I have yet to find anything quieter. HTH!

The 120mm Antec tri-cool fan is remarkably quiet on "low." Depending on the noise level of the rest of your system, it may not be worth replacing it. If you are using the SmartPower 400 PSU that comes with that case, the fan in the PSU is probably louder than the tri-cool on low. My Smart Power 350, even with only 1 fan running at low speed was still louder. I've since replaced the PSU unit with a modded one with a Papst 8412NGLLE as its sole fan, and the tri-cool suddenly became the loudest part of my system. Replaced that with a soft-mounted Nexus at 5v, which is definitely quieter than the Antec. (Quieter than my 80gb Samsung Spinpoint drive -- the new loudest component in my system)
