Automated 3.5" PWM fan controllers

Post by epinema » Tue Aug 04, 2009 2:31 pm

Hmmmm, not sure if there's anything like this out there but if anyone could make some suggestions or point me in the right direction I'd be very greatful

Space is going to be a little sparse so I was going to use 2 nexus 120mm PWM fans http://www.nexustek.nl/NXS-120mm-pwm-fa ... -quiet.htm and all the 5.25 bays in my pc are used up.

What do you mean by automated? The only things out there that I'd consider truly automated are the various incarnations of the T-Balancer. In most cases I think it is a lot more cost effective to give up a bit of control and just use your motherboard's PWM header(s), PWM splitting cables (or Arctic-Cooling fans with their built in splitters), and SpeedFan.

Reactive

As in, zone one getting hot, increase fan speed, zone 2 very cool, reduce fan speed.

Then the solutions are the two I posted: T-Balancer or Speedfan + PWM splitting.
