Anyone know how low these fans can go and start reliably?
I saw the Nexus 92mm is rated at something like 10-13 volts in operation and wonder if that precludes going as low as 6-7 volts?
Since I am planning to use the Nexus 92mm fan as an intake for the P150, I wonder if I can safely go as low as 6-7 volts?
I also welcome any advice using rpm speed instead of volts.
How low can the Nexus 92 and 120mm go and start reliably?

I'm running a 92mm Nexus as the front fan on my P150. It's on a Fanmate at it's lowest (5.5V) setting and it's started every day for the past 5+ months.
Before I built this system I tested 3 92mm Nexii on the bench for a few days and they all started repeatedly at 5V. YMMV with fans though, but if you run it at 5.5-6V for insurance, you still won't be able to hear it. They are very quiet.
Edit:
I've used about 7-8 120mm Nexii, some of which start fine at 5V, others need a touch more. They all start 100% reliably with the 5.5V provided by a fanmate.

Well, that covers both questionsRalf Hutter wrote:I'm running a 92mm Nexus as the front fan on my P150. It's on a Fanmate at it's lowest (5.5V) setting and it's started every day for the past 5+ months.
