Apple MacBook fan "mooing" sound

Fan when running actually seems to sound quite smooth.

Just wondering if the mooing sound would probably go away if Apple updated the firmware for fan control (perhaps keeping it running slowly all the time instead of ramping so aggressively)?

This person's problem may also be related to the problem of overheating with the MacBook Pros (extremely excessive thermal compound), but that's just a theory.

Maybe Gateway is doing OEM work for Apple?
