New Enermax fan design....
Link
Check it out....there are several slightly different fans using this new design. I wonder what would happen if you covered over the standard intake opening, and pulled all the intake air through the slots? This is somewhat like the monster slot fan I built a few years ago.

Nice find!
It would be better if the max RPM was ~1,000RPM, I suppose. You can pop out the blades/hub (a la Enlobal) and the plastic is opaque...the struts go in the "right" direction, but the one with the wires on it is pretty strange.Model UCMA12
Speed (RPM) 1500
Features extreme operation temperature of 85C
Voltage 12V
Current 0.34
Flow (MAX)(CFM) 69.15
Pressure (MAX)(mm-H20) 1.400
Noise dB(A) 18

Neato, Bluefront! Here's all 3 new fans. All of them have 9 blades (hello Slipstream). "Cluster" appears to be a 1200RPM maximum PWM fan; Everest a "500-1500RPM Auto" fan ("PWM" accidently not mentioned??), and Magma (your link) is 1500RPM fixed.
All seem to be further developments of the Enlobal Marathon fan, which remains in the list (7 blades, 1000RPM). The Enlobal is a pretty good, and quiet, fixed-RPM fan, so I'll want to take a look at one of each of these.
It's good to have yet another source of mainstream (non-industrial) PWM fans.
Slight change of subject: I've tested the A-C and Scythe PWM fans as 3-pin fans, and they're noisier than fixed-RPM fans when tested in that fashion. But I haven't tested them as 4-wire PWM fans with SpeedFan commanding 100% PWM on that 4th pin...

I went googling for "Enermax UCEV12 fan" with foriegn urls enabled. I discovered these fans are available for purchase in Italy (~13EU), and I also ran across this very intriguing italian site which indicates "90" and 80mm versions of the same fan, and also a lot of Enermax fan variations of other fans.

These fans had been scheduled to arrive at several Italian on-line retailers on Fri Jan 4. The same retailers now show "arrivo retardo" or something like that. "Late arrival". Still no mention anywhere of reviews or of availability anywhere but Italy.
Is Enermax headquartered in Italy? Anybody know?
You have to enable foreign "hits" in Google when you search "Enermax UCEV12 fan" or "Enermax Everest 120mm fan" to have the Italian locations show up.

Looks like Enermax are in Taiwan, but they have offices around the world.http://www.enermax.com.tw/english/about_company.aspIs Enermax headquartered in Italy? Anybody know?
It seems they have other fans with different detachable blades. I wonder if they are all interchangeable with the same sizes.

Are you gonna test that fan Bluefront? Personally I won't try any of these fancy 9-blade avantgarde blade design fans until SPCR tests them.
But then again, from the SPCR reviews alone it's not possible to know how a fan performs in real world situations with obstructions such as grills/filters/tightly spaced heatsink fins etc....

First he has to wait until real fans are in stock in Milan. Then he has to wait for Airbus to deliver the Concorde II so he can fly nonstop from St. Louis to Milan at Mach 8. Then he has to figger out how to smuggle a Demon or Magma or whatever past our ever-alert home security screening on the way back... Probably not before the end of next week.Shaman wrote:Are you gonna test that fan Bluefront?
