a 120mm fan is the only moving part in my pc, currently a glacialtech 1000rpm enter-bearing fan. it's ok, i think, but i've never owned a 'good' fan. motherboard controlled, it spins at about 700 rpm in a high 20C environment and as low as 450rpm when the pc is first booted, reported temps are about 10C above ambient.
i've been using it for a couple of weeks now and due to the cases location, it is all but inaudible, but i suspect that if i tried i would hear it.
would you pay good money for a better fan?
edit: fans speed are at idle, playing games makes the fan rev to 800rpm.

If you're happy with your current fan I see no reason to get another one. Save your money.

Most 700 RPM fans can be heard in a quiet room, but just barely. A new fan will have to spin at about that same speed to offer the same performance. If the current one is hard to notice I wouldn't spend money on a new one.

I've had a couple of those fans as well and frankly I didn't really notice much of a difference between them and nexus ones when undervolted but perhaps I'm just deaf and dumb. IMHO they were rather nice 'budget' picks.

they are really really cheap, mine was 6aud and it's still running fine after 3 builds
if i ever get the opportunity i'll get a good fan and perhaps report back then.
