The shape and concept seems similar to the Noiseblocker fans reviewed recently I think. Look interesting at least.

Perhaps a little optimistic, yes but when 80+ Platinum is up to 92% efficient at 120V, at 220V in Taiwan where the display is, 94% would be expected. There is now an 80+ Titanium for 230V redundant server PSUs which calls for up to 96% efficiency and naturally a very small loss in that is from the redundancy. 98% seems unlikely but it could be fairly close.

The good news keep on coming. I'm impressed by the initiative to design specific-purpose fans instead of multipurpose ones, although how big the benefit will be remains to be seen. Those rings look intriguing... could it be a seal? (something I've done with fan decoupler mounts on exhaust fans)

I read that they are merely color accents and that the fan is quieter with them removed.

A batch of Corsair fans are coming, should be here very soon. They will go into the next round up, for which I already have 5 fans tested. I'm aiming to finish the next roundup before next weekend; we'll see what obstacles get in the way of that goal.

Just installed these in my PC. They are quiet but they are not nearly as quiet as the Scythe Sflex 800 rpm fans I had before. I got the 110 rpm ones from Corsair. Now I know they are about 300 RPMs more but they are certainly louder than the Sflex fans. And my temps are about the same with both. I think I will go back to the Scythe fans....

I tried the AF120 low speed. Quite good in my opinion, but I prefer the noise of the Nexus for example. Regarding the t°, I didn't see any difference between Nexus basic and AF120 (regulated with rheobus at similar noise level, "my personal confort zone")

I installed an AF140 yesterday and it's not a bad fan. There is some bearing noise compared to my Slipstreams but it can't be heard 1m away. It also sounds and undervolts fine at 5v and 7v. I think it's a decent choice especially for 140mm as the color scheme is better than the Noctua and it runs a bit faster than the Antec fan. Hope to see the SPCR review on these fans soon. They also have rubber screw mounts to reduce vibration. I think they'll do well but not knock it out of the park.

I wonder if the high static pressure fans would work well as intake fans in a positive pressure build, say a Silverstone SP07

I'm interested in a review of these fans as well! All of them! The 140mm case fan, the quiet 120mm fans, and the radiator/heatsink 120mm fans. Comparisons to other well-known fans would be very welcome, such as Noctua's SB-F12, NF-F12s (or P12s), Gentle Typhoons, Nexus fans, etc. (And AF140 vs. Noctua's P140 or Phanteks 140mm fans).

Thanks for the link. These fans really don't do too well in that review. Looks like Scythe Gentle Thyphoons are still among clear winners (and Nexus Basics do well, though with some instability).
