SATA harddrive power consumption

How much do SATA harddrives use on the 12V, say a Seagate 7200.7? I already have three 7200.7 ATAs running on a Nexus 300w so I have to start being careful.

Well this is from Seagate's site, for the 200gb model:

POWER REQUIREMENTS: +12V START-UP (amps) _2.8
POWER MANAGEMENT (Watts):
ACTIVE _______________13.5
IDLE _________________9.0
STANDBY (typ/max) ____2.0/

That looks like 1.1A on the 12V when active.

For the ATA version:

Or a bit lower usage than the SATA version. Has anyone tested if this seems to be true in general?

I'm going from memory on this one since my only 200GB Seagate is an enclosure and, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to shut it down and bust it out for you this morning (it's a 10 minute procedure and I need to be out the door early today).

The power draw I believe is pretty evenly split between the 12V line and the 5v line. The 12V was something like 0.37A and the 5V was something like 0.73A.

This was for the IDE version of the drive though.
