My MSI version is heading south and I need a new microATX mobo! The Gigabyte looks to be the best one out there, the HD audio and voltage/multiplier options are sorely needed. Anyone have any info on the Gigabyte GA-K8A480M-9 ??

a few people have emailed them, the responses vary with whatever mood the person on the other end is. email responses have said april, may and june within the space of a couple weeks so who knows when it'll be out.
last i heard the board was being used by oems, retail should follow shortly thereafter.

This uses the same crappily-performing USB hardware that the MSI board does right?

I believe that the Gigabyte uses the new ULI Southbridge which should be better than ATI's rather lackluster Southbridge, meaning better USB performance!

I can wait, my computer is being shipped overseas on Wednsday so I have a month or so to wait. This MSI board has a memory bus problem and fails under stress. Hopefully Gigabyte makes sure their board is rock stable before they release it... I don't need anymore aggravation.
