Ive searched all over the place -sure I get alot of places that manufacture heat pipes and Im sure they will build me one if i want to order dozens or if i have a lot cash. What im looking for is some place where a regular guy like myself can buy a heatpipe whether its surplus or a replacement from some other piece of equipment etc. Only current option I guess is to buy Zalman vga coolers and salvage those heatpipes.

Electronics surplus is your friend. :)

You might also try froogling. This notebook heatpipe came up right away.
