I really wish Seasonic offers PSUs w/14cm fan & bling-bling
14cm for better cooling, possibly being the only fan in the computer and
bling-bling.
I like shiny-mirror like polished chrome plating and LED fans that light up. I also like modular PSU with detachable cables. CCD lighting anything.
As it stands Seasonic is a lot of money for a rather plain looking thing.
There are PSU's with LED fans.

So you're not comfortable modding it yourself? Just Dreamel out a 140mm hole and toss a LED fan in there. You could probably find someone who might be willing to do it for a price if you're not comfortable with that. Although I would agree with the earlier statement that I doubt there will be any noticeable difference in temps/noise by using a 140mm fan over the 120mm one.
I wouldn't be surprised if some company at some time sourced a seasonic OEM PSU and blinged it out. But as most people looking for bling don't pay attention to quality and most people who pay attention to quality don't pay attention to bling, you could be waiting a while.

I prefer the 120mm fan size for ease of replacement with even quieter solutions, if one so desires. As for bling, I go the opposite direction: plain, elegant, unassuming, modest, refined... whatever you call it. Seasonic's current S12s are perfectly fine for me, save for perhaps the lack of modular connectors (of course, Corsair's PSUs and Seasonic's own M12 series are available only at higher power capacities).
well thanksSooty wrote:Excuse the sarcastic response, Dan. Some here need to get over themselves. I’m not into bling either, but you might want to check out the Enermax range, not cheap though. Avoid the Hyper range, their cases are full of holes, so hot air gets pumped straight back into your case.
modular connectors, in addition to 14cm led fan, would be nicetempeteduson wrote:I prefer the 120mm fan size for ease of replacement with even quieter solutions, if one so desires. Coolmax CR450 is equipped with a 3 speed 140 mm fan. Set to low, quiet, with no ramp up. Set med...fairly quiet--but then can be the only fan for a Sempron-Ninja box, none on the CPU,no other case fan.
Super Flower and at least one other has 140s,and I think Super Flower and Coolmax used the same fan. The beauty is in moving equal air at less rpm
Probably o brand, however, has quite the established rep of Seasonic for overall quality. That Coolmax,however...costs a bit less and might be sweet for a low $/low noise build

Godzilla and Scythe Ninja & Infinity say yes. On the other hand, there will probably be no noticable difference between the same psu with a 12cm and 14cm fan - both in terms of cooling and in terms of noise.NeilBlanchard wrote:Is bigger always better?
are you sure this is a brand to recommend?ronrem wrote:Super Flower
Re: I really wish Seasonic offers PSUs w/14cm fan & bli
It's really bizarre to me that people want 14cm fans. 12cm fans are almost basically silent for a good one with quite a bit of airflow. I've never seen the point of throwing more airflow around. You'll just get more turbulence noise instead. Also I'm a huge fan of standardized sizes, getting strange oversized fans just reduces selection and makes it hard to find a silent one. It's the same reason I really dislike those crazy Antec cases with 20cm fans and other non-standard sizes.
