I need an efficient, quiet CPU cooler for a customer build (for x2 3800+ 65w).
Contestants:
1. Zalman CNPS 7700 AlCu
2. Scythe Mine
3. Thermaltake Mini Typhoon
I've been out of air cooling for over a year now, so any help is appreciated. Thanks
note: The rest of the rig is passive, so down or out blowing fans are best.

Heh, Ninja. I said cheap[F]bernZ wrote:Depends if you have any height restrictions?
If no height restrictions, spring for the Ninja.
If you do, Zalman is coming out with the CNPS7500 [and since you said X2 3800+, I assume that's the AM2 version] which fits on AM2.
Yep, it's AM2, low wattage version. I'm in the South and will not build a PC without a fan for good reason
I know it's not on your list, but if you want to go real cheap, the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro is a good choice. I've got the same processor and I'm very happy with mine. Just don't run it at full speed.
