I sure would have liked to put a big fan on the cooler of the Powercolor HD 2600 card but I can't wait much longer for it.
Now availability is said to be beginning of July but I wonder if it might be September (sigh).
You should expect the HD 2600 cards to be slower than 8600GTS cards (rather on par with 8600GT?). Edit: [Reported to be slightly slower than 8600 GTS.]

That's probably a reason why dual HD 2600 cards are showing up. But these crossfire (dual) cards are not double HD 2600 performance right?
Or will they be high performance for high resolution screens considering they shall have 512 MB?
Anyway these cards are a nightmare for any silent oriented soul.
Also
"Be aware, though, that HD 2900 XT itself does not feature UVD, this is specific to 2600 and 2400,
so the levels of CPU utilization you see should be somewhat similar to the previous generation."
Are ATI/AMD liars or what do you think?

Edit: [Apparently AMD clarified this already in 11 of June.

If this will be true then goodbye ATI/AMD for a while and we all know what gamers will put on Santas list.
