120mm exhaust fan acoustic cover / muffler / baffles
I'm looking for fan mufflers (aka fan acoustic cover aka fan baffles etc.) for my exhaust fans. Some of my previous cases came with fairly good fan exhaust mufflers (e.g. Lian-Li PC-S80) but my current case doesn't.
My PC is already very quiet due to low noise components, isolated fan/PSU and hard drive mounting, fan undervolting, several pounds of sound dampening materials along with various other adjustments to keep noise to a minimum. In addition, my intake fans are already reasonably well muffled as is my PSU (i.e. using a Silverstone PP02 PSU acoustic cover). All this means that the rear exhaust fans emanate the most noise because they are completely unbaffled and any noise from within the case, and not just the fan noise, escapes that way.
I could probably build an amateur fan muffler, but it would look awful, and I'd prefer to have something that looks professional and would go with the PSU muffler. Anyone know any ready made products that would allow me to muffle my 120mm exhaust fans? (or an easy do-it-yourself guide or similar)

Bluefront made an interesting baffle-like attachment for the lower intake in his Lanboy project, Pt. 1 (above)
and
He creates a rear baffle/filter extension on the same case (below)

Maybe you'll get some ideas from those.

I've seen such mufflers for sale, but it was a couple of years back.echn111 wrote:I'm looking for fan mufflers (aka fan acoustic cover aka fan baffles etc.) for my exhaust fans. ...
The retailer that used to sell them don't do it anymore.
Pretty easy to do your own though, if you're a bit crafty and have access to tools.
Cheers
