Data recovery software needed !!
Erm, I had a minor brain fart earlier and accidentally fdisked my backup drive just prior to reinstalling XP on my C: drive.
So I am now scouring the web looking for recovery software. I can find plenty of demo's that let me see the stuff on my FUBAR'd drive but they only allow you to recover files under 64Kb
So now before I part with my hard earned $ I thought I would ask you guys if you know any programs.
I still can't believe I did it..

I feel your pain. I recently deleted some files by accident.
This didn't work for me but you might have better luck: PC Inspector File Recovery

Whatever else you do, don't use that drive AT ALL until you run your recovery software on it.
I use "GetDataBack for NTFS" and it works great but I don't think it's free.
Here's a pretty good article about Hard Drive Data Recovery. It also has some freeware apps listed in it, along with directions on how to use them.

I used the Restorer2000. I had to pay for it to use it fully (file size restriction in the download demo). This program was worth it though.
