i was wondering what fans people have put on their Accelero S1's and been satisfied with.
I know the fin spacing is quite wide so probably could get away with using a slipstream/nexus (maybe even a slipstream slim with very low pressure).
Or did people get better results with an SFlex/gentle typhoon?

Re: fan/pressure needed for Accelero S1
I'd say it doesn't really matter. The Accelero doesn't need much airflow to work very well (only a few °C difference between 5V and 12V with a single Nexus 120mm fan).
Re: fan/pressure needed for Accelero S1
hmm interesting, is that with a 120mm nexus or 92 mm?
also wouldnt mounting those fans horizontally be a bad idea? the nexus have sleeves right?

As for vertical vs horizontal mounting, I personnaly don't think it really matters. But that's just me and you'll find a lot more info around the forum

Re: fan/pressure needed for Accelero S1
Using a Slip Stream slim 120mm 800rpm here, no problems with sleeve bearings in general. Though some fans can make a ticking sound in this orientation, and those who tick a little in general may do more so blowing upwards. Bottom line is as said, not much airflow is needed to improve the S1 cooling greatly. Had I found any at the time I might have went with 2x100mm slim(Kaze Jyu) fans could be ideal for medium-long cards, providing more airflow lengthwise. My Slip Stream slim 800rpm did not quite start up at 5V, which would have been nice for simplicitys sake. I assume the 1000rpm 100mm Kaze Jyu does.

The fins on the S1 are too widely spaced for pressure to make a difference. Just find a good sounding fan and you're set.
