Re: Advice on general purpose build
Antec NSK-3480 (SPCR review).
Without optical drive(s) installation should be a breeze.
An aftermarket CPU cooler will reduce the noise level. Take a look at the recommended list. The Scythe Mugen 2 usually has the best price/performance ratio, but I can't say for shure if that holds true in NZ.
Personally I only use Thermalright coolers, but I have been looking at Promlimatech, too.

Why don't you read the review of the case?
It would sit right below the large exhaust fan. See forum posts on vr-zone and bit-tech review.
The Anandtech review of both drives (m4, Ag3) mentions bad trim performance and late garbage collection for both drives. Why not spring a little more for a Vertex 3?
Rest of the components look good. Does the video card have all the ports you need?
They help very little, but they are not needed.voriest wrote:Thanks for your input boost.
RAM: 8GB DDR3 SODIMM (Do heat-spreaders help at all?)
How about a SilverStone Nitrogon NT06 Evolution?voriest wrote:Fans: Scythe Samurai ZZ (Saw examples of it in this case)

Hard to say. does the recall apply to this particular drive?voriest wrote:SSD:
Crucial M4
OCZ Agility 3 (This one gets higher ratings in most reviews, but I've heard there's been a recall on the controller)
