Evercool 120mm with plastic frame?
I checked some of the other evercool threads, including the original one, and I can't find a source for the 120mm evercool with the plastic frame.
Does anyone know where I can locate one?
I need this because
1) The evercool is the quietest 120mm fan PER VOLUME OF AIR MOVED, bar none. I've said this before, but if you don't believe me, you can find corroboration in this thread -- an excellent 4 sample 120mm fan review.*
2) It is the only fan I have personally ever used, of any size, which produces no discernable mechanical noise even with my ear right up against it.
3) I need to mount it on the Zalman 123 bracket, so the heavy aluminum frame is out.
* Yes, there are "quieter" 120mm fans, but only by virtue of less air being moved, therefore less air movement noise. Depends what you're looking for, in this application, I need a lot of air movement.

Well I've got three of them in use....different computers of course. One is in a modded Fortron PSU. They came from CompUSA, packaged under the CompUSA brand. The motor part of the fan says Evercool, with the same model # as the Evercool Aluminum fan....also sold at CUSA.
I'd suggest opening a package to tell for sure.....cost $12.95.

I recently splurged on a new Evercool Plastic Fan for my Fortron 350-60, it had the same specifications of the Evercool Aluminium Fan but for half the price!
Turns out that it was way louder than the stock Yate Loon fan (both fans were running on 5v) with horrible clicking and bearing noise (bad sample?). I was disappointed to say the least
